Living with NF
“Living with NF” is a yearly event in support of individuals with Neurofibromatosis. This was started in May 2022, organized by National Cancer Centre Singapore (NCCS), and later co-organized along with KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital (KKH) from 2024. The event usually includes a series of talks on topics relevant to individuals with NF, covering aspects such as clinical, risk management, and psychosocial aspects of the condition. Participants also engage in fun activities to encourage bonding and social interaction amongst them, to build community.
The event also includes a “Shine the Light” walk, a movement that is part of the “Shine a Light” global campaign organized by the Children’s Tumour Foundation. This movement aims to bring awareness about NF in the community by lighting up buildings, bridges and monuments in the NF colours of blue and green.
